Comments: Despite the name, this is not an old deck. The artist was born in 1946. He supplied recreations of the missing cards for the various Visconti decks, so is familiar with ancient decks. This is in the style of medieval decks.
The artist has created a deck with few obvious references to the oft copied Rider deck, no small feat. He has also given us pip cards that are refreshingly different, such as the 9 of Wands, shown above. This is a card turned sideways & can be turned to either side to show figures mixed with wands.
Suits & court cards are the usual. An interesting deck.
