Back of card: Looks like the cover of an antique book. Red field with gold piping around the edge. In the center, a winged heart with a crown above. It's inverted directly below, so may be inverted.

Book included: Yes, 7.75 x 7.75 inches, or 196 x 197 mm, 162 pages. Illustrated, lovely 4-color printing on every page. There's also a booklet, 36 pages, 3.25 x 4.5 inches, or 82 x 114 mm, packed with the deck itself.

Comments: Waldherr's other deck was wide. Like this one, so wide that I doubt many would ever be able to shuffle it. I can't & I've got big guy hands. As the images are essentially static, I am wondering if the artist intends the deck for meditation, rather than for readings.

Packaging, like the cards, is gorgeous. It comes in sturdy box of "not quite Burgundy" color. A flap folds over & is secured with velcro. Measurments: 8.25 x 8 x 2.25 inches, or 21 x 20.5 x 5.8 cm. Open it and we find the book nestled snugly inside. Under that, the box of cards in its own container, as well as a scroll tied with a red ribbon. Unfurled, it is a handy guide to the various spreads shown in the book.

Shipping this deck will be problematic. It is bigger than the flat rate envelopes. In the US, it will ship by weight to some addresses, and in the new flat rate box (currently $9.00 - Jan 2005) to the rest, whichever is cheaper. Internationally, it will be over $20.00. In both cases, shipping set by the shopping cart will probably not be correct. If so, my apologies.
