Comments: You will think I am rude. To me this looks like a designer deck for juveniles. Everything spooky, monsters everywhere. I think it's passe.

Aside from the obligatory welcome card, there are no notes hinting at the artist's intentions in this deck. On the card: "Enter a world at the edges of the senses, a dreamscape barely reachable by the mind. The otherworldly imagery of this deck evokes myths and legends as old as time itself," etc. As a plug, this is pretty standard stuff.

But read her description of the lovers (and look carefully at the card, shown above): "These two Lovers symbolize the divine energy of beauty, attraction, youth, innocence, vice & virtue, and hunger for life & love. The Lovers appear ambivalent, the woman's gaze points towards faith and wisdom; she wishes to find true love, not possessiveness. The man appears sad & doubtful. The pair must choose whether to remain as Lovers or to draw apart. For now, their choice is to cling to the hope that theirs is a true love."

From the written description, and from what is shown on the card, we can gather these two are no lovers. They're jaded, lonely middle-aged boomers caught in the middle of a one-night stand. Baby boomers (I confess, I'm one) are stuck with the name "baby". There's an immature, baby-ish quality to a lot of who we are & what we do. Decades ago we rebelled against the Establishment, which at that time was repressive & uncaring. Now we are the Establishment & already the younger generation complains that we're just a bunch of overgrown babies. Decks like this make me think they're right.
